Erika Malvey-Dorn, M.D.,Ph.D.
Erika graduated from Wellesley College and then entered the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of Minnesota. She received her Ph.D. in Immunology in 1998 and her M.D. in 2000. She completed her pediatric residency training at the University of Minnesota and is a board-certified pediatrician. In addition to providing preventative care to children of all ages, Erika's areas of interest include asthma, allergy, and the care of children with complex medical needs. She is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care through building lasting partnerships with families. She also enjoys teaching medical students and residents.
Dr. Malvey-Dorn has been President and Medical Director of All About Children Pediatrics since 2010. She also serves on the board of Abbey's Hope Foundation, a nonprofit organization promoting water safety awareness to children and their families.
Erika lives in Edina with her husband and her three children. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, swimming, cross-country skiing and spending time with her family and friends.
Marilou Pederson, CPNP
Marilou has been practicing as a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner since 1972. She received her R.N. degree in 1968 and worked as a registered nurse for three years at the University of Minnesota Hospitals in Neonatal Intensive Care. She then attended the pediatric nurse practitioners program in Boston, MA, associated with Northeastern University. Marilou’s interests include newborn care, ADHD/behavioral problems, foreign children and adoption, and injury related concerns. Marilou is the CFO at All About Children Pediatrics.
Marilou lives in Edina and has two spirited daughters, Kori and Kelsey. She enjoys traveling, cooking, gardening, and running. She has run three marathons in her career…none of which were very fast!
Marilou also actively volunteers with Smile Network International Group, a humanitarian organization that provides life-altering reconstructive surgeries and related healthcare services to impoverished children and adults in developing nations.
Most recently, Marilou was awarded the 2017 Mpls.St.Paul Magazine Outstanding Nurses Award in Lifetime Achievement.
Catherine Chang, M.D.
Catherine is a graduate of the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics and completed her bachelor’s of science degree from the University of Oklahoma in biochemistry and microbiology. She received her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma and then finished training in pediatrics at the University of Minnesota. She is board certified in pediatrics and has clinical interests in hematology, nephrology, preventative medicine, and medical bioethics. She enjoys caring for children of all ages and looks forward to watching them and their families grow.
Dr. Chang lives in Edina with her husband, John, and her three children, 2 daughters and one son. She enjoys cooking, cake decorating, going to the theatre and ballroom dancing.
Dr. Chang was named as a "Rising Star" in Mpls.St.Paul Magazine's Top Doctors in 2015 and 2016.
Christina Dewey, M.D.
Christina graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1992, and received her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in 1996. Initially planning to combine her love of surgery and pediatrics, she completed her internship year in general surgery at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center, and then completed two years of pediatric surgery research at Columbus Children’s Hospital. During that time, Christina decided to change paths and completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Minnesota in 2002. Board-certified in pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Christina has been providing passionate, thorough, family centered and complete care to newborns, children, adolescents, and young adults in the Twin Cities metro area since 2002. Areas of interest include adolescents, mental health, and preventative care and wellness, and she is experienced at caring for children with complicated medical issues.
Dr. Dewey lives in southwestern Minneapolis with her husband Tim, their two children, Jack and Eleni, and their two dogs, Grover and Marley. She enjoys walking the lakes, gardening, volunteering at her children’s school, reading, family/friend time, and sunny beach vacations.
Julie Kelley, M.D.
Julie graduated from the University of Colorado, Denver, and received her medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 1992. She completed a pediatric residency at the University of New Mexico. She practiced at Dakota Pediatrics in Inver Grove Heights and Apple Valley for ten years, and then with Northfield's Family Health Medical Clinics, prior to joining All About Children Pediatrics in 2012. She is board-certified in pediatrics, enjoys all aspects of general pediatrics, and has developed interests in ADHD and behavioral issues.
Dr. Kelley lives in Savage with her husband, a semi-retired naval officer, and has two daughters. She enjoys running, reading (with a newly-acquired interest in American history), and loves animals in all shapes and sizes.
Nancy Carlson, CPNP
Nancy graduated from the College of St. Catherine with a B.A. in nursing in 1975. She has experience working in multiple locations within Minneapolis Children’s and for the MN Department of Health for Services for Children with Handicaps. She returned to the College of St. Catherine in 1989 to complete her nurse practitioner degree in pediatrics. Her areas of expertise include children with special needs, children with behavior and school problems, and building families through adoption.
Nancy resides in Edina with her husband, Keith. She enjoys spending time with her grandson, Alex, and her two Labrador retrievers and Boykin Spaniel. Her hobbies include needlework, and raising, showing, and training dogs in obedience and hunting.
Amanda Flannery, CPNP
Amanda graduated from the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her experiences include working on the pediatric unit at Mayo Clinic and pediatric triage. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with her Pediatric Nurse Practitioner degree in 2011. Her interests include preventative medicine, newborn care, and adolescent care.
Amanda lives in Victoria with her husband, Lance, and their three children, Audrey, Jacob, and Caleb. She enjoys running, being outdoors, reading, and spending time with her family.
Peter Dehnel, M.D.
After 25 years of practicing pediatric medicine, Pete has chosen to transition to a full-time medical director position at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota. We are fortunate, however, to have him continue to practice medicine part-time at our office. He is available one afternoon and evening a week for well- and sick-child care, as well as some Saturdays.
